A COMMUNITY group called the 'Sale Square Mile' is holding a community open day on Saturday (November 24) and has launched a project called 'Be a Santa to a Senior'.
This project aims to bring together different generations of the community by enabling people to donate a Christmas gift to a pensioner living on their own in the Sale area, and bring it along to the Community Open Day at St Paul's Church Hall, 10.30am to 3pm.
The presents are distributed by church and voluntary groups.
There will be about 40 stands at the community day.
