BRITAIN’S biggest outdoor fitness class provider has struck a healthy deal with a physiotherapy group.

David Roberts Physiotherapy - which has a clinic in Old Trafford - will now provide a range of physio treatments at special rates for British Military Fitness (BMF) members in Greater Manchester.

British Military Fitness runs ‘military-style’ outdoor training sessions led by serving and former military personnel at eight venues across Greater Manchester, offering 25 classes a week year round to its members.

The physio chain will offer discounts to BMF members at its six clinics and also send its fleet of mobile physio vans to BMF sessions to offer injury prevention and recovery tips to participants.

Mark Donaldson, regional manager for BMF in the North, said: “This arrangement ticks lots of boxes for us. We’re always looking at ways to deliver extra value to our members. Naturally, our first concern is to prevent them sustaining injuries in the first place but if they do, at least they know we have experts in place to look after them and get them back into training as soon as possible.

“It was important we joined forces with a well-established and respected team of physios. David Roberts Physiotherapy has been going for 25 years and treats many of the UK’s leading sports stars, including the entire Lancashire County Cricket team. Our members can rest assured they’ll receive the highest quality treatment.”

Sam Byrne from David Roberts Physiotherapy, said:“We’re delighted to form this partnership. BMF has venues close to all six of our clinics so it’ll be easy for their members and instructors to find somewhere close by for treatment.

“Like British Military Fitness, we’re great believers that prevention is better than cure. Our team will be giving practical advice about injury prevention and what to do if you do pick one up – the first few minutes are really important to ensuring rapid and complete recovery. ”
