FAMILY-run Creamline Dairies has marked its move to impressive £1.5m Trafford Park headquarters with a grand opening ceremony, which also celebrated the dairy’s 70th anniversary.

Special guest, Trafford Council leader Sean Anstee, unveiled a commemorative plaque and cut the ceremonial ribbon.

A packed itinerary greeted guests, who included key representatives from Hurst Accountants, Barclays Bank and Ward Hadaway Solicitors.

As well as giving a tour of the headquarters' refrigeration, warehousing and distribution facilities, Creamline joint managing directors spoke about Creamline’s growth since executive chairman Tony Swallow acquired the business in 1994.

Using the acquisition of Dairy Crest’s local doorstep delivery business in 2013 as a springboard, Creamline has propelled its internet offering, which currently serves more than 4,000 homes in the Greater Manchester and Cheshire area – a figure that is growing month by month.

Ambitious plans are in the pipeline to further expand services, products and reach, so the Trafford unit has given the business room to grow.

Home to the management, finance and human resources departments – as well as a fleet of liveried Creamline vehicles – the Trafford Park HQ and depot is strategically placed as a central point between the dairy’s three further depots in central Manchester, Stockport and Warrington, as well as its processing plant in Eccles.

Milk is sourced from within a 30 mile radius of the headquarters.

Councillor Anstee said: ". Creamline is a brilliant example of the aspirational thinking and hard working attitude we’re seeing in businesses across the area.”

Chris Swallow, joint managing director at Creamline, said: “Our move into Trafford Park symbolises the great progress that Creamline has made in recent years.’’

Creamline supplies hundreds of independent milk businesses throughout the North West with fresh milk, as well as its online doorstep delivery service.
