ALTRINCHAM and Bowdon Civic Society is staging two events exploring the idea of 'shared spaces' this month.
It will be looking at how pedestrians, cyclists and motorists can share roads in town centres - and how this could be applied to Altrincham.
On Monday June 18 at 6.45pm at Altrincham Town Hall, design engineer Martin Stockley, will be giving an illustrated talk on 'Sharing Our Streets -Towards a New Civility'.
Entry is free and will be of interest to anyone who cares about the future of Altrincham.
Civic society members will also be under a market gazebo on Cross Street, Altrincham, on national civic day on June 23 between 9am and 3pm. They will be asking shoppers if the 'sharing our streets' concept could help revitalise Altrincham. See altrinchamandbowdoncs.com for further details.
