THE funeral of a Partington father-of-one who went missing on a night out more than eight years ago has been held in Altrincham.
The remains of Vinny Derrick, aged 28, were found by workmen near junction three of the M60 motorway near Cheadle on February 15.
Police believe Mr Derrick could have been killed in a hit-and-run.
Mr Derrick, who is survived by wife Vicki and son Louis, was last seen on a night out in Manchester with colleagues in August 2003.
After going to Jabez Clegg near the University of Manchester, he was supposed to go and stay the night at the home of his boss but never arrived.
His funeral took place at Dunham Lawn Cemetery on Thursday (March 29).
