A MAN has been ordered to carry out unpaid community work for benefit fraud amounting to more than £5,000.
Madhi Nohkbeh, aged 45, of Telford Walk, in Old Trafford, dishonestly obtained job seekers allowance and housing and council tax benefit amounting to £5,284.
Nohkbeh pleaded guilty last Friday (March 23) to failing to report changes in his circumstances to the Department for Work and Pensions and Trafford Council’s benefits Department after he started paid employment as a security officer at a casino.
He was sentenced at Trafford Magistrates’ Court to a 12-month community order and was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.
He must also repay all the money that he falsely claimed.
