THE month of May can’t come quick enough for the Urmston based Canterbury Players -after the society received two nominations in this year’s NODA North West Regional Awards.
It could turn out to be a real family affair as Jonathan Coupe has been nominated for the Best Supporting Male Actor gong for the role of Ross in the Players’ production of Strictly Murder.
While Jonathan’s daughter Jennifer has been nominated for the Best Supporting Female Actor prize for her portrayal of Suzy in the same show.
The duo will find out if they have been successful at the awards ceremony in Blackpool on May 6.
* Canterbury Players next production, The Reunion by Peter Gordon, will be staged at Davyhulme (Wesley) Methodist Church, Brook Road, Flixton, from March 28-31 at 7.30pm. Anyone interested in booking tickets should call 0161 748 8403.
