WELLACRE continued to break records this year as its students produced an outstanding set of GCSE results. Ninety-seven per cent of their students achieved five or more A*-C grades, with 49 per cent of these including A*-C grades in both English and maths.
Principal Ray Howell said: “This is a superb achievement for these students and we are really proud of them. This year’s cohort has achieved a stunning set of results.
“We are very pleased that these sit alongside a 99 per cent pass rate for our first set of A level results in our sixth form.
“The success of the students just serves to underline Wellacre’s continuing commitment to high quality teaching and learning and the development of real partnerships between students, parents and teachers, all of whom contributed towards the very high achievement.
“I am very proud of the achievements of Wellacre students and staff.”
