ALTRINCHAM College of Arts’ impressive results are the perfect start to an important year for the school, says headteacher Peter Brooks.
He said: “The school is celebrating its best-ever GCSE results with 85 per cent of students gaining five or more GCSEs at grades A*-C.
“A total of 59 per cent of students achieved five or more A*-C grades including English and maths, an amazing 13 per cent increase on last year's results.
“Such continuing success, year on year, sets the stage perfectly for the opening of the school's new £5.3m sixth form centre this September.”
He pointed out Altrincham College of Arts was the first school in England to be graded as outstanding under a new, tougher OFSTED framework.
