The score had progressed to 24 when Tootell returned the compliment, taking an excellent catch at second slip off Edginton to remove Roberts for 10.

Bixby soon followed, bowled by Edginton for 24, who shortly thereafter took his second catch of the innings at third slip, again Tootell, Aitken out for 18.

Metcalf and Wundkie then put together a partnership of 93 before Wundkie having reached an excellent half century was caught behind by Stuart Higginbottom off the bowling of Neil Pickup for 51.

Robinson did not last long, bowled by Richard Ankers for 4 with the score on 155 for 6.

Jordan joined Metcalf who by this stage had also reached his half century and they added a further 32 runs before Jordan was well stumped by Higginbottom off Ankers for 14.

Metcalf was to be next to go, having seen his team through to 200, bowled by Ankers for a hard hitting 72.

Ankers claimed his 4th wicket having Roberts well caught by Steve Cartwright for 9 before Edginton returned to bowl Kegg for 1, with Chester all out on 214 in the 49th over, to finish with 3 for 34.

Urmston started well with both Cartwright and Ankers in positive mood.

They took the score to 73 before Cartwright was given out lbw off the bowling of Wundkie for 30.

Unfortunate, Ankers, having reached 40, soon followed, caught by Metcalf off Kegg and Senior fell to the very next ball, lbw to Kegg for 0 and Urmston were 81 for 3.

Jake Bosle and Stuart Higginbottom then stabilised matters, putting together a solid partnership of 30 before Bosle fell to Wundkie, caught by Ogilvy for 21.

Graham Fenton joined Higginbottom and looked in good touch, reaching 11 before being run out by his partner, attempting a quick single and being beaten by a direct hit at the banks end.

Nathan Ridings joined Higginbottom at the crease and together they took the score to 161 before Ridings was the sixth wicket to fall, bowled by Wundkie for 13.

Higginbtoom was not out having scored a fluent 40, caught and bowled by Winkie with the score on 176 for o7.

Pickup having hit a couple of risky blows was well caught at deep mid wicket by Kegg off Roberts for o13.

Tootell and Edginton needing 32 to win in 5 overs, batted sensibly picking up singles when possible and punishing the bad balls and saw Urmston home with 8 balls remaining, Edginton not out on 20 and Tootell on 12.
