From the start they attacked Harrogate Town and the Midfield dominated the early play seeing some great football being finished by Graham Leishman with the ball going straight into the back of the net.

Flixton created a few more chances which were either hit wide or saved.

The second half was a disappointment for Flixton who lost control of the game, but not necessarily through lack of trying.

Due to some poor decisions, Flixton lost the plot, and more or less gave the game away.

At 2-1 down, Malone was sent off and a penalty was given for an accidential handball, when the ball bounced from knee to hand.

The penalty took it to 3-1.

Jody Bannim was brought on and Flixton tryed to make a comeback with another goal.

A handball in the box by Harrogate went unseen, but could have left Flixton with a well deserved 3 all draw.

3-2 left Flixton was a disappointing end to a very good start.
