QUICKS Motors Group has seen its profits jump by 61 per cent in the year to June, compared with the same period in 1997, according to figures released this week.

The firm made £5.01 million profit in the six months to June 30, with turnover of £332.4 million, compared with £175.9 million in January to June '97. But company chairman Michael Moore warns: "Economic prospects for our sector may be weaker in the second half."
