The First XIs poor run of form continued as they travelled to Alderley Edge.
Batting first Brooklands made a solid start, reaching 99-2 with both Lee Marland and Rob Edwards making scores in the thirties.
However Brooklands collapsed to 128-8 and only some late hitting from Paul Murphy saw Brooklands reach a more respectable 147-9.
Despite having Alderley 45-3 Brooklands were unable to stop Alderley winning by 6 wickets.
The Third XI hosted Alderley Edge in a thrilling contest in which rooklands made a good start and securing maximum batting points declared on 222-9.
Brooklands always seemed the likely victors as wickets fell steadily.
However, some sloppy fielding allowed Alderley to get within sight of victory.
Unable to take their chances, Brooklands saw the game slip away from them as Alderley won with only 1 over and two wickets to spare.
