AS SOMEONE who regularly uses Timperley station, I am appalled at the number of times the ticket machines are out of action.
There are two machines located at the top of the staircases and if it is not one machine that is out of action, it is both. This means that you have to wait in a long queue or use the tram without a ticket - an embarrassement to everyone concerned.
Surely the machines could be relocated onto the platforms, where there are cameras to keep an eye on anyone intent on doing damage to them. I am sure the money saved on repairs would, in the long term, pay for the relocation.
