I WISH to register my disgust at the behaviour of drinkers at local hostelries in Hale. I am a very early riser and go for a walk through the village in the mornings at around the same time as the street cleaners are setting about their work - on many occasions sweeping streets littered with broken bottles and drinking glasses.
We never had problems until shops in the village centre were allowed to be changed into drinking dens and I would like to know why the managers of these premises allow customers to behave in this way. There's an old saying that where there's muck there's brass. In Hale its more like where there's brass they leave their muck!
