A STRETFORD sports club which was formerly a training ground for Manchester City could be set for a massive face-lift.

For the Kendal Sports and Social Club on Kendal Road will undergo something of an image change if plans are approved by Trafford Council.

The venue is currently a social club and playing fields but the development proposals include a new residential area, as well as a pub with restaurant.

There is also work planned to build a marina and chandlery with new access roads, parking, cycleways and open space.

The plan is among the latest batch of applications lodged with Trafford Borough Council - details of which are now available for inspection during normal office hours at Trafford Direct 2000 at Sale Town Hall, Tatton Road, Sale.

Representations on any plan can be made in writing to the Director of Engineering and Planning, Planning and Building Control services, PO Box 96, Sale Town Hall, Tatton Road, Sale, M33 7HU before Monday, March 13. Listed plans are -
