BOWDON Men's 1st team slipped up this week managing only to draw 3-3 against the improving City of York side.
York put Bowdon under pressure with an early goal before Geoff Price and then David Egerton put Bowdon into the lead at half time.
York scored a short corner before Bowdon did the same through Paul Adgey.
York managed an equaliser five minutes from time from another short corner.
Bowdon must now win next week against Sheffield (1pm Devisdale) if they are to go to the top of the league and earn a place in the National League playoffs.
Bowdon Pagliacci men's 2nd team travelled away to play against 3rd placed Bebington this week.
Bowdon were much the better side, but had to absorb some early pressure before going on to dominate the game.
The Bebington keeper kept the home side in the game until Bob Baker converted a well worked short corner to win the game 1-0.
