ON SEPTEMBER 1, Newsquest, owners of the Stretford and Urmston Messenger, launches its latest community venture, the on-line service Communigate.

It will provide all community groups and non-profit making organisations the chance to get on the web with their own site.

What's more, the service is completely free! All you need to get on-line with us is your own PC with internet access.

Communigate offers you the chance to set up your own on-line presence with bulletin boards and personalised e-mail. You can tell the world what your group has been up to, post photos of yourselves and your activities on the net and interact with other peopleacross the world.

What's more, because your site will be linked to our network, you'll have a ready audience just waiting to see what you've got to say.

Usually, when people set up their own web site it can take months, even years, before they get noticed - if anyone noticesd at all. Communigate offers a unique 'community' on the web, which can tap into the audience of 100,000 readers Newsquest Cheshire/Merseyside already has.

Setting up a web site through Communigate couldn't be simpler - all you need is some text and perhaps a photo to get you started - then the only limit is your imagination.

If you want your organisation or project to be part of this venture, get in touch with us by e-mailing Chris Wood in the Digital Media department on cwood@cheshire.newsquest .co.uk and we'll send you a password to get started.
