CHESHIRE'S professional approach and concentration took them to a solid 77-run victory in their ECB 38 County Competition semi-final against Norfolk at Lakenham .

This gives them the chance to take the title in the final against Herefordshire at Lord's on Wednesday 30th August.

Bowdon's Paul Bryson hit an invaluable 63 opening with Neil Cross and they laid the foundation for Cheshire's victory. Cheshire scored 224 for 8.

In Norfolk's reply, Chris Brown took 3 for 25 in his ten tantalising overs to win the man of the match award.

Chris Hall took two more, and Neil Cross's throw which ran out another frustrated batsman epitomised Cheshire's stranglehold on the match, which now earns them the thrill of playing in a final at Lord's.
