A NEW apartment block could soon be built on a former Manchester City Council works depot in Ashton on Mersey.

For plans are in place to construct a three-storey block housing 18 new flats at the Firsway site if consent is passed by planning chiefs.

The plan is amongst the latest batch of applications lodged with Trafford Borough Council - details of which are now available for inspection during normal office hours at Trafford Direct 2000 at Sale Town Hall, Tatton Road, Sale.

In addition, plans for the most recently submitted applications for Altrincham area can be seen between 2pm and 3.30pm tomorrow (Friday) at the town hall in Market Street, Altrincham.
