GRIME busters were out in force to give Partington a spruce up.
Eight teams were drafted in for the clean up day - litter picking, tidying up and door knocking to collect bags of rubbish from residents.
The teams were each allocated an area, and kitted out with a team colour, T-shirt, gloves and a map.
Caretakers scoured all the areas while environmental health officers collected refuse on Oak Road.
The clean up was launched by the new Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford, Partington residents Cllr Harry and Mrs Margaret Faulkner.
Partington Housing Association organised the day, backed by Trafford Council and local businesses.
