Police have staged a reconstruction of the collision which killed a pensioner from Sale last month.
Kathleen Lea, 69, died when she collided with a bus in Piccadilly Gardens near the junction with Portland Street.
The collision happened on Thursday November 29. In the reconstruction, two police officers played the parts of Kathleen and her partner, who was also injured, and another drove the bus.
PC Nigel Everett of Grey Mare Lane Traffic Unit said: "Initial investigations suggest that the collision occurred between the couple and the front of the bus as they held hands to cross the road.
"Kathleen unfortunately has then fallen under the bus and died as a result of her injuries."
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Traffic Unit on 856 3573 or 856 3572.
