PARANORMAL investigators are stumped by a strange light in the sky filmed by a Messenger reader.

Manchester Association of Paranormal Investigation (MAPIT) studied a video taken by the reader of lights above Altrincham on December 3.

The video clip showed an orangish object which was then joined by a smaller greenish object, moving around the larger one.

Steve Mera from MAPIT said the first object was clearly a Chinese lantern.

But he admitted: "As for the green UFO, we have no idea what that could have been."
