The Altrincham in Bloom Team had amazing success in North West in Bloom 2009.
Entries were invited to Southport Convention Centre 22nd October and 23rd to receive their awards. All entries had entered for the RHS Neighbourhood Awards and Nominations were announced for two of the entrants into the North West in Bloom 2009.
The 22nd October the RHS Neighbourhood Awards were announced with fantastic results for Timperley and Altrincham entries. The results are as follows:-

Broomwood Community Park, Timperley
SMALL NEIGHBOURHOOD MERIT Awards
Quarry Bank Comm. Garden Project, Timperley
Larkhill Community Centre & Timperley Village
Timperley Orchard & Allotments, Timperley
Altrincham Town Centre Heritage Quarter, Altrincham
Altrincham Town Centre Stamford Sq/G Force, Altrincham
Woodside Nursing Home, Altrincham
There was also recognition for Broomwood Primary School, for their Vegetable garden maintained by the school children and ably assisted by Mary Eastwood. They received a certificate for their hard work.
The 23rd October the North West in Bloom 2009 Awards, a surprise for the entrants and completely unexpected. The Results as follows:-
Under the CATEGORY AWARDS Timperley Orchard received the Environmental & Conservation Award - Pinnacle PSG Trophy
Under the DISCRETIONARY AWARDS Commendation for “G" Force Timperley & Altrincham
Five years down the track and Altrincham in Bloom continually to win awards for individual projects and groups year on year. Plans are already being discussed for next year’s entries and hope to return back with another clutch of awards for 2010.
