MESSENGER reader Alex Osbourne spotted this strange light in the skies above Bowdon on Tuesday night.
He told SAM earlier today: “I was listening to Radio Manchester this morning and heard an interview with a woman who saw a UFO over Altrincham last night.
“Well I was in Bowdon and saw this too, and managed to get a few pictures!
“I’ve never seen anything like it before. It was probably about 30ft wide and with flashing colours. People were stopping their cars to look so others must have seen it.
“Someone on the radio thought it might have been Chinese lanterns but it was way to big. Really strange.”
It was also spotted at about 10pm by Timperley resident Lisa Roman, who said: "I was driving along Vicarage Lane in Bowdon and saw multi-coloured lights in the sky." Did any other readers see the lights too? Contact the newsdesk on 908 3388.
