TRAFFORD residents are being encouraged to put the kettle on and make a brew in aid of national charity Epilepsy Action.
The National Tea Break event, started in 2003, is a large scale tea party designed to raise funds for the charity simply by drinking drinking tea and eating cake.
Residents are urged to support the 2009 event on Friday 23 October by holding their own tea-parties with their family and friends, in order to reach this year’s target of £100,000.
Michael White, fundraising events officer at Epilepsy Action, said: “It is a fantastic way to bring tea lovers together for their daily brew.”
Everyone who registers will recieve an organiser’s pack containing event posters, invitation cards and recipe cards.
Epilepsy is the UK’s most common neurological condition, affecting approximately one in 131 people.
