HUNDREDS of red, white and blue ducks arrived at Gulliver’s theme park in Westbrook on Saturday to help raise money for the RAF Association Wings Appeal.
Former Coronation Street actress Jennifer James, who played Geena Gregory in the soap, launched the ducks in The Great Wings Duck Race.
And to celebrate the duck’s arrival earlier in the week the Preston North End ‘Deepdale Duck’ mascot greeted them onsite along with Gully Mouse and special guests including two-year-old Cole Jeffrey from Preston.
Anybody could sponsor a duck for a minimum donation of £5 and a cash prize of £1,000 was up for grabs.
Gulliver’s hopes the event will have raised thousands of pounds to help provide care and support for past and present members of the RAF and their families.
