AN INTREPID duo have completed a charity fundraiser with a difference.
Graham McIsaac, 69, from Timperley, and Frank Egan, 85, from Wythenshawe, completed the 60-mile journey from Northenden to Blackpool - on their electric scooters.
The intrepid pair arrived in Blackpool at 1am on Saturday, 16 hours after setting off on their 6mph machines.
They were four hours behind schedule as Graham had to carry out running repairs when Frank's scooter broke down.
They also had to contend with pouring rain on the journey, which they tackled to raise funds for the Poppy Appeal and Trafford Shopmobility.
Graham, chairman of Trafford Shopmobility, said: "It was a great challenge - but I won't do it again unless they put rockets on my scooter."
They are still totting up the total raised for the charities.
