VOLUNTEER 'detectives' will join forces with Trafford Council to help in the bid for Fairtrade borough status.
Charity United Response works with people who have learning disabilities, mental health needs, and physical disabilities, and look at ways to integrate their members into work.
The council has called on charity members to become Fairtrade detectives and help gather evidence of shops, cafes and other businesses which are providing or selling Fairtrade products.
Executive councillor Jonathan Coupe said: "This work is key to Trafford being awarded Fairtrade borough status from the Fairtrade Foundation, so we're really grateful to United Response for getting on board our campaign.”
If you use or supply Fairtrade goods contact Sharman Frost on 0161 912 4645, so the council can send out an application form.
