KENSINGTON Financial Management Consultants has been named as one of the ‘best places to work’ in Manchester.
The Trafford-based debt management company was presented with the award in a high profile ceremony hosted by Crain’s business newspaper.
Twenty-six companies were shortlisted from more than 100 applicants, split into four categories based on the size of the business.
Kensington scooped the award in its category of ‘biggest’ companies.
Employees voted and completed detailed questionnaires about working at the Carrington Business Park offices.
The company was assessed on ten areas, including team and manager effectiveness, trust among co-workers and in senior leaders, job satisfaction, people practices and how valued members of staff feel.
Managing director Stuart Parkin said: “They say the success of any business is governed by its staff, and winning this award proves that. It has created a huge buzz in the office and all members of staff are celebrating this success.
“It shows us that we are listening to what our employees want, and giving them a happy and positive environment in which to work. It is a real honour for us to be recognised as one of the best places to work in Manchester and we’ll take great pride in adding the trophy to our collection.”
Kensington Financial Management Consultants is one of the UK’s leading financial solutions companies – having doubled in size in 2008 and expecting to triple in size by the end of the year. It is creating over 100 jobs for Manchester this year, with several positions already filled and many more available.
