AN ELECTRICAL short circuit in an extractor fan sparked off a fire in toilets at the Lord Nelson pub on Stretford Road, Urmston, shortly after midnight on Tuesday.
The blaze was tackled by firefighters using a hose reel and wearing breathing apparatus.
A positive pressure fan was later used to remove smoke from the pub which was closed at the time.
