A DAD has recovered his lost wallet full of cash, credit cards and family photos – thanks to the honesty of a paper deliverer and a Timperley newsagent.
Craig Goold lost his wallet when he and his partner, Beverley Robinson, travelled to Timperley from their home in Leamington, to visit Beverley’s parents.
Craig feared he would never see his valuables again – but fortunately the wallet was found by paper deliverer Robert Bate on Sunday morning.
He handed it in at the Mini Market shop on Park Road that he delivers for.
And Messenger reunited Craig with his wallet after he emailed the paper about losing it, and a reader then told the newsdesk about Robert finding a wallet.
Tractor company manager Craig, aged 45, said: “I am over the moon. It is just great that someone handed it in. It is so heartwarming when something like this happens. I will reward Robert.”
He said the wallet contained ‘irreplaceable’ photos of his children Jack, 17, and Lara, 14, growing up.
Minesh Vaiwala, who owns the Mini Market with his brother Vijay, also praised Robert, who has been delivering his papers for eight years: “He is very honest and reliable.”
