Town hall bosses in Trafford have released details of coronation street parties taking place across the borough in celebration of the crowning of King Charles III.

The big event takes place on Saturday, May 6 when the King is crowned alongside Camilla, the Queen consort at Westminster Abbey in London.

Monday, May 8 will be bank holiday for people across the UK to come together for the King’s Coronation to celebrate the historic milestone.

Street parties taking place in Trafford are as follows:

Saturday May 6: Ennerdale Drive, M33 5NF, 2pm to 9pm; Meadows Road, M33 7BG, 12pm to 8pm; Castleway WA15 0AD, 1.30pm to 4pm

Events in Parks: May 6 to 8 Inflatable weekend at Longford Park, 11am to 5pm.

On Friday May 5, Trafford’s environmental improvement team will be running two litter picks for residents.

Meanwhile, all libraries will be open on Saturday, May 6 from 11am to 3pm showing the King’s Coronation and running children’s craft activities.
