A free event celebrating International Women’s Day event is planned this weekend.
Taking place at Durham Road Unitarian Chapel in Altrincham, the free event promises drumming, singing and dancing, musical chairs, and even poetry recitations on the theme of International Women’s Day.
Children over the age of 8 and all women are invited to attend the event, which can be dropped into between 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, March 18.
The event is organised by Kalpna Khurana, who is the chair of The Harmony Association, which aims to promote goodwill and peace through the media of dance and music from a range of countries.

International Women’s Day took place on Wednesday, March 8.
The day celebrates women globally across the world and is observed by the United Nations.
