THESE surprising images show police wrestling with a topless man outside the home of Altrincham FC.
The incident was on the doorstep of The Bake House on Stamford Park Road – opposite The Robins' stadium – at around 10.15am on Friday.
According to an eyewitness, the topless man spoke to a police officer, before becoming agitated.
He is said to have kicked at the door, which is when police took him down and put him in a van.
The eyewitness said: "I saw the man speaking to a police officer, his clothes and shoes in a pile.
"He then appeared to pace in front of the door and window of The Bake House before then kicking at the door, which is when he got taken down by police before being put into a van."
In a statement, a spokesperson for GMP described the incident as 'a medical episode'.
A man in his 30s was taken to hospital.
They said: "Police were called at around 10.15am to Stamford Park Road to a report of a medical episode.
"A man in his 30s was taken to hospital."
