POLICE are searching for a missing man who is deemed high-risk because of a serious medical condition.

Matthew Neillings, 33, has been missing since 2pm on Wednesday, when he was last seen in the Flixton area of Irlam Road and Woodsend Road South.

Matthew is white, 5ft 9inch tall, slim build with dark brown hair and brown beard.

He suffers from Type 1 diabetes and requires regular insulin injections to keep his glucose levels normal. His family are extremely worried about his well-being due to his medical condition.

Police helicopters searched for Matthew on Thursday but failed to find him.

Matthew's family have organised a foot search in Flixton today. Anyone who would like to help can join them at Flixton Park, outside Flixton House at 9.30am.

The family have are also asking people to check their sheds and gardens.

Before he went missing, Matthew was wearing black combat work style pants, black hooded top with white writing and bike trainers.
