FIRST Justin Beiber and now Drake - Altrincham is certainly a hit with Canadian superstars.

Grammy award-winning singer Drake hit the town in the early hours of Sunday morning following his concert at Manchester Arena on Saturday night.

The Hotline Bling and One Dance rapper was flanked by his entourage as he stepped into Aurous Bar, in Ashley Road, at around 1am.

Drake, who is on the northern leg of his UK Boy Meets World tour, partied until dawn, before taking to the Manchester stage once again on Sunday night.

The 30-year-old visited Altrincham just days after being crowned IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year Award, beating Adele and Bowie to the top spot.

The hip hop star's appearance comes just a few months after fellow superstar Justin Bieber.

Back in October, pop megastar Justin Bieber dropped in at Silver Blades Ice Rink before heading out for drinks in town.

The Canadian singer took time to shoot a few pucks with Manchester Storm after a concert at Manchester Arena – and then took the team to the Tavern on the Green for a couple of pints.

The 22-year-old is a keen ice hockey fan, and is known to hook up with local teams while on tour.

Now if that isn't an endorsement for Altrincham, we don't know what is.
