Warning after overseas phone scam
POLICE have issued a warning after a resident was targeted in an overseas scam.
A resident in Trafford recently received a call from outside the UK by a company claiming to owe the resident money.
The only information they asked for was the security number on the back of a credit or debit card.
A spokesperson for GMP Trafford South said: “Don’t ever give your bank details over the phone to an unknown caller.”
