AFTER renovations to Pickering Lodge in Timperley last year, the friends of the park group is keen to press forward on further improvements.
In 2015 the park had a major upgrade to hedges, perimeter fencing at Green Walk, and installation of picnic tables.
The Friends of Pickering Lodge group is working with the council to install some more equipment for the children's play area, and to have goalposts in place before the autumn.
William Jones, secretary said: "The changes to this play area become necessary as many items of equipment had safety issues and the opportunity for rare funding to do the upgrade to the play was most welcome."
Ongoing maintenance such as repairs to the perimeter wall on Moss Lane have occurred with the recent replacement of the copping stones.
There are also plans for new signs and a further signed history trail of this green space in Timperley.
