TRAFFORD Council has been shortlisted in three categories in the up-coming Municipal Journal (MJ) Local Government Achievement Awards; ‘Local Authority of the Year’ ‘Behaviour Change’ and ‘Senior Leadership Team’.
The awards recognise the delivery of council services over the past 12 months, as well as rewarding individual teams, managers and officers.
Each category is judged by influential commentators from the private and public sectors giving each organisation the chance to illustrate its ability, ingenuity and performance.
Trafford Council leader, Sean Anstee, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in three categories for these prestigious awards, demonstrating the hard work and commitment our employees and partners have shown over the past twelve months.
"We know we are up against excellent competition this year but receiving this commendation is very encouraging as we move forward with long term plans over the coming years.”
