LUNCHTIME worshippers at the Hidden Gem in Manchester were treated to a stunning rendition of ‘O Holy Night’ by Altrincham schoolgirl Charlotte Killingley.
Charlotte’s show-stopping performance, accompanied by fellow pupil Joshua Cox on the piano, was part of the annual St Bede’s Carol Concert held in the city centre church.
Charlotte and Joshua, both 16, performed alongside the College Choir and the Prep Choir in the concert that included traditional carols and readings and also the sound track to Home Alone – Somewhere in my Memory.
The St Bede’s pupils performed to a packed audience including the regular congregation, friends, family and guests and the two choirs came together for a finale of Baby in a Manger.
Subject Leader, Music, Andrew Davies, said the carol concert has become a Christmas tradition for St Bede’s: “Charlotte certainly has a very bright future ahead of her, both musically and academically.”
