MANCHESTER United legend Bryan Robson will kick off a football-themed fun day at Tesco Extra in Altrincham this weekend.
In the build up to the derby game between Manchester United and Manchester City, the Manor Road store will be hosting a fun day from 11am-4pm on Saturday October 24.
Customers will have a chance to meet football star Bryan Robson, who played for Manchester United from 1981 until 1994. Bryan will be at the store from 12noon-2pm and customers will be able to meet him, have a photo taken and get an autograph.
Store manager James Piercy said: “We are really excited to welcome Bryan Robson to our Football Fun Day; he is such a legend in the area and we are sure our customers will love having the chance to meet him.”
The Manchester United Foundation has been invited to the event, along with mascot Fred the Red. James will present the foundation with a donation of £1,000, which will be used to help disadvantaged areas across Greater Manchester.
Renowned football freestyler Rob Walters will also be performing at the store, and will be on hand to teach customers a few of his tricks.
