FLIXTON Girls School has appointed its new senior head girl team for 2015/2016.
Mia Foley beat off stiff competition to take the role of senior head girl, after completing a written application and a series of rigorous interviews, including the input of our Junior Leader Team, to succeed.
She will be supported by senior deputy head girls Megan Stead and Tegen Hardie, who will in turn have the backup of a team of sixth form prefects.
Headteacher Julie Hazeldine said: "Huge congratulations to Mia, Megan and Tegen, who were up against many other girls of extremely high calibres. We are very thorough in our senior head girl team appointment process and all the applicants were fantastic, but these three really shone.”
Mia, from Davyhulme added: "It is a real honour to become senior head girl and I embrace my role with determination and dedication. I am excited by the prospect of being involved in the development of our Sixth Form over the next couple of years."
