COMMUTERS took to social media this morning to vent their anger at traffic chaos that caused severe delays for Trafford drivers.
Motorists described gridlocked traffic on roads throughout Greater Manchester this morning, October 8.
Two lanes of the M60 were closed between Junction 14 for the M61, East Lancs Road, and Junction 13 for Worsley.
The knock-effect caused traffic to back up across the network and was further complicated by the smart motorway installation speed restrictions on the M60 through Trafford.
Drivers described gridlocked traffic and delays of over an hour on their morning commute.

What is wrong with the traffic in #Manchester this week? It would appear I parked my car over an hour ago. I just didn't realise.

The Greater Manchester area of our network is very busy today. Volume of traffic and back log from this mornings incident has caused issues.
