YOUNGSTERS enjoyed some 'Animal Magic' entertainment at Eden Square Shopping Centre in Urmston.
The Pick ‘n’ Mix Petting Zoo was in the centre last Wednesday to give children the chance to see, at close range, farmyard favourites rabbits, ducks and chicken as well as some more exotic creatures such as snakes and lizards.
Also, throughout the day, children took part in a sticker hunt to look for Old MacDonald’s missing farmyard animals.
The children visited each of four specifically selected shops, where they were given a sticker and once all four were collected, they exchanged their sticker hunt leaflet for a free gift. All entries were placed in a free draw with the winner receiving a prize of animal puppets.
Next Wednesday, September 2, Ranger Rob will bring an assortment of creatures - including lizards, snakes and spiders - to the centre and give interactive Exotic Creature Discover Day shows at 11.30apm, 1.00pm and 2.30pm.
Although Ranger’s Rob shows are fun and informal, children can learn more about the reptiles and creatures and the environments they live in.
Dion Mulvey, Operations Manager at Eden Square Shopping Centre, said, “We hope that families visiting Eden Square will enjoy this bite sized introduction to wild life through entertainment."
Dion continued, “We have more activities planned later in the year, with spooky activities during the October half term.”
