CORONATION Street actress Jennie McAlpine joined more than 60 pre-school children and babies and their parents at NCT Trafford's Cheeky Monkeys' Tea Party in Timperley.
Jennie, who recently became a mum, herself, helped the parenting charity raise an expected £700 which will pay for an NCT antenatal teacher at Styal Prison.
The event on July 18 also supported NCT Trafford's Little Bundles scheme - with parents being able to drop off baby items to go to mums in need.
Jennie, who plays Fizz in the soap, brought along some donations for the Little Bundles scheme and chatted to NCT head of volunteering Phil Rosset, who attended from London, and NCT antenatal teachers.
The event also included face painting, taster sessions by Lingotots and Jo Jingles, craft activities, toys, cakes and refreshments, a tombola and stalls including Aqua Babies, Usbourne Books, Stella and Dot and Phoenix Cards. It was sponsored by Neil Barrett Photography.
