ALTRINCHAM based Wraparound Partnership is offering schools across Greater Manchester a free training session and review of their Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) policies and practices.

For more than 20 years, Wraparound Partnership has been working with families, schools and colleges and now, one of the firm's directors. Elizabeth Stanley, is branching out with a dedicated service, specifically for schools, that supports special educational needs coordinators (SENCOs) in delivering outstanding outcomes for pupils, amidst wide-ranging SEND reforms.

Elizabeth said: “The biggest reform to SEND provision in 30 years comes at the same time as overall reform of local authority support and changes to the health service. This means that schools are facing tough challenges in ensuring pupils get the high quality learning experience and support they deserve – this is particularly acute for those with SEND. SENCOs need clear guidance on how to implement legislative changes in a way that doesn’t hamper their ability to meet the needs of children with SEND.”

Wraparound Partnership is interested in speaking to schools who would benefit from specialist, independent advice and hands on support to help make their SEND provision outstanding.
