URMSTON-born Sale Sharks star, Tom Brady, returned to his hometown to officially re-launch the Station Bridge pharmacy.

The store has been re-launched under its new name, Well, along with branches in Flixton, Partington, Stretford and Urmston.

780 pharmacies in the UK will change from The Co-operative Pharmacy and become Well, following Bestway Group's £620million acquisition from The Co-operative Group, last year.

Headquartered in Manchester city centre, Well is now the UK’s largest independent pharmacy chain.

Elaine Hand-Griffiths, regional manager of the Well branches in Trafford said: “We are extremely excited to unveil the new look pharmacies and our branch colleagues are looking forward to providing personalised health and wellbeing services as they continue to serve the local communities across Partington, Urmston, Flixton and Stretford.

“It was great to welcome Tom back to his home-town pharmacy to officially open the new-look Well."

Tom Brady, who plays in the Wing position for the Aviva Premiership Rugby Union team, was welcomed by members of the Well pharmacy team and signed autographs for customers.
