A MAN has died following a road traffic collision in Warburton.
The man was driving a red Vauxhall combo van when it collided with a road sign at the junction of Paddock lane and Werburgh Close, Dunham, Trafford, at around 6.15am on Wednesday, April 1.
Sergeant Brian Orr from Greater Manchester Police’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “Our sympathies are with this man’s family and friends at this sad time.
“We have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision.”
The driver, who is believed to be in his 50s and from the Sale area, was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are now appealing to anyone who has information about the collision to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4742.
