CHARITY sponsors are being sought from the business community to aid a Millington charity.

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is looking for 18 local companies to sponsor each hole at its golf day at The Mere on May 21.

This will be the Adventure Farm’s 15th Annual Golf Day, which raised an impressive £23,000 for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from across the North West.

In return for £100, businesses can either have their company banner displayed on the prestigious course for the whole day or have a full page advert in the official programme.

The event is regularly attended by the charity’s president, Sir Bobby Charlton, which this year is aiming to raise more money than ever before.

A charity spokesman said: "Teams of four players are invited to the golf club for a hearty lunch to kick start of what should be a fantastic day of golf, fun and fundraising.

"There will also be competitions en route to keep the golfers in good spirit followed by a fantastic prize-giving dinner, during which there will a raffle and silent auction."

A team of four costs £480, to include a round of golf on the championship course, lunch, goodie bags and the dinner. Additional tickets for dinner can be purchased for £40.
